In 1 May 1975 the maine coon cat breed finally accepted by Fanciers' Association (CFA) under provisional status. On 1 may 1976 this breed was approved for championship status. In 1985, the maine coon cat breed would be named the official state cat. 

Today maine coon cat is the most famous and popular cat breed on the 3rd number according to number of Kitten register with CFA.

Breed Description:

Miane coon cat is very famous and largest domestic breed. Almost the weight of male cat from 5.9 kg to 8.2kg and female cat weight from 3.6 to 5.4kg. The height of maine coon cat can vary between 25 and 42 cm. The body is solid and mascular, which support their own weight.

Large Maine Coons can overlap in length with Eurasian lynxes. Miane coon cat has long and medium hair and her coat has silky and soft. Maine Coons have several physical adaptations for survival in harsh winter climates. Maine coon cat has long and bushy tail and it help the cat to resistant to sinking in snow. Miane coon cat has extra large paws and it help to walk on snow.

Maine coon cat need proteins and nutrients in their diet. That’s why this is large breed cat with high levels of energy. It is best to feed them quality food. Food that lists meat as the first ingredient is best for the Maine Coon.
